Staccato Dragons were released on 29th June, 2014. They come in a gold form and a rarer silver form.

Official Description Gold

Egg icon Egg
This egg is a distasteful yellowish color.
Hatchling icon Hatchling
With a creak and a crack, the egg pops open, and a hatchling of an equally unattractive yellow staggers out.
Hatchling s2 icon Mature Hatchling
This young dragon seems to be growing brighter, and has developed small feathers on its wings. It outruns you easily.
Adult icon Adult
Staccato dragons are actually named for the sharp contrast in their colors rather than their voice. Staccatos can sing, although the melodies they produce are described as haunting and strange instead of sweet. They can also mimic the sounds of other creatures, something they put to good use when hunting. Their feathers, especially the ones that decorate their arms and legs, are prized by people, both for their beauty and for their use in old fashioned quill pens. The brilliantly colored scales on their undersides, however, lose their lustre when shed. While all Staccato dragons share these traits, there are some important differences between the two varieties. Unlike their silver relatives, Gold Staccatos are highly social, organizing themselves into a clans of up to thirty individuals led by a single male and living in a single territory area. They are also more vain and spend quite a bit of time making sure their feathers are in order and that they are polished to the brightest shine possible. They are omnivorous and will readily eat plants if sufficient meat is not available.

Egg icon Egg
This egg is a simple, plain grey.
Hatchling icon Hatchling
With a crack and a crack, the egg pops open! The small grey hatchling that pops out seems ravenous and tries to eat the shell pieces.
Hatchling s2 icon Mature Hatchling
This young dragon has developed pale colors in its wings, and seems to have grown slightly brighter although much of it still remains a plain grey. It has a huge appetite; luckily it can hunt for itself.
