Twilight Dragons bury themselves in night’s black shroud. These nocturnal hunters rarely approach others, and even when they do they disappear as quickly as a shooting star. However, for unknown reasons, these dragons appear to be slightly more active during the twilight hours, but the breaking of dawn usually sends them back into hiding. Their life cycle is one with the lunar cycle. The new moon brings the chance for new life. Twilight Dragons pick mates and lay eggs during this time. After hatching, the aggressive younglings are left to fend for themselves. The dangers lurking behind night’s veil and ferocious competition demands they cover the ground with their enemies’ blood or die themselves. Age mellows their bloodlust somewhat, but they always remain quick to snap. Twilight Dragons exhibit odd behavior during eclipses. Usually solitary and antisocial by nature, they will temporarily break the pattern and gather together in large packs to celebrate the victory of the dark over the light. Madness takes control. The packs go on the hunt, slaughtering everything in their path. The only thing that will return them to sanity is the coppery taste of blood on their tongues and a world dyed red.
